No Barriers > No-Code?

The no-code movement is picking up speed and for good reason. Coding is a skill that passed many by, during school time pre-’00s or ’10s. As a result, it’s one clear barrier stopping good ideas from getting into the world. The issue of cost to build due to the demand of skills paid for highly by big corporations means that enabling anyone with no coding skills to build a product is a fantastic mission to be behind right now and, thankfully, many organisations & products are focusing on solving that issue en masse.

But that’s just one of many barriers people face.

What about networks? What about budgets? What about marketing? What about sales? What about confidence? What about self-awareness?

All of these factors and many others are things that product building would-be founders & founding teams also have as barriers to launching or succeeding as a business. Enabling a no-code is a first step but what happens if we have a whole bunch of amazing products with no ability to sell them or no network to sell them to?

More should be done to lower all the barriers faced by people wanting to explore self-employment and entrepreneurial opportunities — be it for commercial gain, personal progress, impact or all of the above.
